Watch and write
For one normal day, note every time a screen is on for each child: what, how long, and what was happening just before. Don’t change anything yet.
“Go on, count my hours. I won’t be offended. Much.”
Put the phones to bed. Get your evenings back.
बच्चों की मोबाइल की लत छुड़ाने का आसान तरीका: 14 दिन, रोज़ सिर्फ़ 15 मिनट।
The 14-Day Family Screen Reset is a feel-good, evidence-checked PDF plan. One tiny action a day, about 15 minutes, done together as a family. No lectures and no scare stories. You don’t need a printer either: tick the days off and type in the sheets on your phone, and it saves. Print only if you want to.
Sound familiar?
Most screen-time advice assumes two parents and nobody else. This kit is built for real, crowded, loving homes: grandparents and helpers who care for the kids, homework on WhatsApp, and the phone that comes out every time the cooker whistles.
of 369 toddlers at a Delhi clinic had seen screens by 18 months
of parents in a 57,000-response survey said their 9–18-year-olds spend 3+ hours a day on social media, videos and games

Sources: Meena, Gupta & Shah 2020; LocalCircles 2025 (a self-selected online survey, so read it as a signal of parent concern, not an exact national figure). Inside the kit, every claim is linked to its source.
Screen time for kids by age
The kit starts from what the Indian Academy of Pediatrics and the WHO recommend. Here is the short version. Page 4 of the kit has the full table, with sleep and activity targets. Read the full guide.
Not even background TV. Don’t use the phone to feed or calm.
A day, in short sessions, watched together. Less is better.
A day of recreational screens. No screens at meals or in the hour before bed.
No fixed number. If screens cut into sleep, play, study or family time, cut back.

Questions parents ask
No. It’s a 45-page illustrated PDF that you download straight after paying. Read it on your phone, fill it in there, and print the pages you want on any home printer or at a local print shop (A4).
You do not need a printer: fill it in on your phone, and print only if you want to. The same file does both jobs. Every sheet you write on (the checklists, the tables, the tick boxes, the certificate, even the line for the one thing you’ll do tonight) is a real PDF form field, so you can type into it and tick it on your phone or computer and save it, and your answers stay in your copy. Printed, the page looks exactly as it always did: ruled lines and empty boxes for a pen. You can also highlight, underline and add your own notes anywhere in it. The file is not locked in any way, and all the text is real text, not pictures of text. It is saved for fast opening too, so you can read it straight in your browser without waiting for a download. For typing on a phone, use a PDF app that fills forms: Adobe Acrobat Reader is free on Android and iPhone, and Apple’s Files and Books apps work as well. A few very basic viewers, Google Drive’s preview among them, only display the page, which is why the printed layout was left exactly as it was, so it is always a perfect printable as a fallback.
Families with children aged 2 to 12. The by-age table also covers under-2s and teens, but the daily plan is written for ages 2 to 12.
Yes, that’s Day 9. The Indian Academy of Pediatrics advises against using screens to feed children. The kit gives you a gentle way to switch, table games that replace the cartoon, and a script for grandparents and helpers. My short read on feeding a toddler without a mobile covers the basics.
Not with one big ban. Start by noticing when screens come out, then change one small thing a day: a charging basket an hour before bed, screen-free meals, a boredom menu of old-school games. That is the 14-day plan. Hindi mein padhein: बच्चों की मोबाइल की लत कैसे छुड़ाएं.
It’s a gentler version. Nobody throws the phone away. The family resets its habits, keeps the screen time that’s good, and swaps the rest for sleep, play and talk.
Any way you like: UPI from any app (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM or your bank’s), a credit or debit card, net banking, or a wallet. There is no cash on delivery, because the file is not posted. It downloads the moment you pay.
Straight away. A download link opens after payment and a copy goes to the email you enter at checkout. Nothing after 30 minutes? Check spam, then email littleelsewhere.help@gmail.com with your payment reference (the UTR or order ID) and I’ll send it within one working day.
The kit is in simple English. The scripts for tricky moments are in Hinglish, the way so many families talk: “Timer khatam. Deal is deal.”
Yes, within your household: print pages for grandparents and helpers who care for your children, and use it with relatives over video calls. Please don’t forward the file or post it in groups. Schools and clinics: please write to me. I don’t sell a group licence yet, and I would like to know what you need.
Yes: this is the 14-day plan itself, with the by-age guidelines, a step for each day, the Hinglish scripts and five printables. The 17 play cards and 4 play sheets at the back are the same ones as in the Print Pack, so you will not be getting new games.
No. It’s general information for healthy families, built on 27 sources, including Indian Academy of Pediatrics and WHO guidance. If you’re worried about your child’s development, mood, sleep or safety, please talk to your child’s doctor. Page 19 lists where to get help in India.
A little something for today
Look within. Within is the fountain of good, and it will ever bubble up, if thou wilt ever dig.
